The Grand Canyon State BMD Club is licensed by the American Kennel Club, and is dedicated to the support, education and enhancement of the sport of purebred dogs, in conformation, draft, obedience and performance.
We will do all in our power, to protect and advance the interest of the Bernese Mountain Dog according to the Guiding Principles of the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America. To this end, we encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred Bernese Mountain Dogs; preserve and protect the Bernese Mountain Dog; promote understanding and appreciation of the breed; do all possible to improve the health of the breed and to preserve the natural working abilities of the breed in our dogs; provide education appropriate to the needs of owners, breeders, potential owners and all others with an interest in the breed. We will advocate honesty and integrity in all matters.
We encourage all members to advocate responsible and humane ownership; educate and be educated; support sportsman like conduct during all club activities.
We will conduct sanctioned and licensed specialty shows, obedience and performance trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club and Draft Tests under the rules of the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America.
